a portrait-drawing-as-oral-history project by
Jean-Marc Superville Sovak
I Draw & You Talk is a portrait-drawing-as-oral-history project. It’s a cross between an art gallery, a barbershop and a soup kitchen.
For the month of January, I will be offering free portraits at Matteawan Gallery in Beacon, NY. Visitors are invited to sit, enjoy a cup of soup and record a conversation.
You can see the drawings displayed in the gallery and on this website. The conversations will be recorded, compiled and edited for a podcast to be streamed also on this website. Stop by the gallery or leave a comment if you’d like to participate!
