Well voter turnout was a little light as the temperature drops. The few passersby in front of the gallery were probably too reluctant to even remove their gloves to drop a pea and vote – it was that cold. But majority rules in this democracy and I was curious how many people would have something to say about income inequality in this country. I was mostly interested in hearing what people’s first jobs were – their first introduction to their economic reality.
Renee has a very strong reaction to the idea of a $15/hr minimum wage (after all, she listens a lot to Freakonomics Radio) in which she talks about a decency and a dignity we should all be entitled to. Oh, and her first job was shoveling horse manure. And now she’s a glass artist.
