Do you think you were spoiled as a child? YES:11 – NO:17

This was a tough one for many people as they struggled with the word “spoiled”. One person suggested “fermented” instead. What I noticed was people’s response would change as they answered the question. I was thinking,

Adam, who grew up in Newburgh, said, no, he did not think that he was spoiled as a child because, as he put it, he’s Jewish. Adam is convinced that, apparently, the two don’t mix. Here’s a great story to accompany his conviction:

I was lucky enough to also have Adam’s son, Oscar, to tell me whether he thought he was spoiled. At age 6, he could have said anything and pretty much gotten away with it. But he said no. Then maybe. #playingitsafe
